Your Google location history, on a map

Drop your Timeline export. See where you spent your time, every route by how you travelled, your trips, and how far you went each year.

Nothing leaves this tab. Files are read in your browser, and the map ships with the page, so no map server sees where you have been.

Drop Timeline.json, location-history.json, Records.json or a Takeout .zip

Several files at once are merged. Large files are fine: they are read in pieces.

Where to get your file

Android

Settings → Location → Location services → Timeline → Export Timeline data. You get Timeline.json.

iPhone

Google Maps → your profile → Settings → Personal content → Export Timeline data. You get location-history.json.

Older Google Takeout

A Takeout archive from before Timeline moved to your phone holds Records.json and a Semantic Location History folder. Drop the whole .zip.
